“What seem our worst prayers may really be, in God's eyes, our best. Those, I mean, which are least supported by devotional feeling. For these may come from a deeper level than feeling. God sometimes seems to speak to us most intimately when He catches us, as it were, off our guard.”
--C. S. Lewis
I've always admired C.S. Lewis.
ReplyDeleteSo have I, Oddyoddy013; I especially like "The Screwtape Letters". Do you have a favorite Lewis work?
ReplyDeleteI think Screwtape is my favorite too. So far. I love the picture. It reminds me of one we took in Vienna during Christmas a couple of years ago except that the flakes falling there were like cotton bolls or or large sheers of fleece. It was a neat picture but not as good as this one.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eutychus; I'm glad you liked the picture. Vienna must be breathtaking!
