"Joy is the echo of God's life in the soul."

--Rev. Patrick McBride

  1. Oh, don't you just wish you could crawl inside of that rose petal and sleep there in its velvety softness, surrounded by its lovely fragrance?

    Wonderful quote!

  2. Sometimes echoes are the only things heard, and they're all that's needed.

  3. Thank you for your beautiful words, ladies. This post was inspired by the quote spoken at Mass yesterday by our parish's youngest priest who is only 25 years old. Since it was Laetare Sunday, he reminded us of the reason for the rose vestments of the priest: that the Church has always used the image of a rose for the soul, Heaven being its garden. He said that we were made for joy, and that there is no holiness without happiness. And so this is my prayer for you: may God give great joy to you and your loved ones, now and forever. Joy!
