Autumn

I saw old autumn in the misty morn
Stand shadowless like silence, listening
To silence.

  1. I could speak volumes about silence. There is beauty to be found in silence. But, here is another thought. If silence is golden, then what is sound? It is better than gold. It is a ticket to profound beauty of its own kind. I know a bit about silence for I am deaf, but I have received the gift of hearing through a cochlear implant. Silence is sweet, but oh how much sweeter is sound!

  2. This just takes your breath away. Wow. I really wish I could be in that picture right now, just listening to words like these, watching the sun come in through the trees...

  3. Dear Hannah, what a joy you are! You certainly know silence much better than anyone else I know; and now, God be praised, you know sound as well. Your insights are beautiful, and beautifully expressed in your words. Thank you very much for sharing this part of you; it is truly an honor for me to have you here on "the trail." And you, dear Oddyoddyo13, are another joy! Your comments are always so uplifting and hopeful; it would be very lonely on this trail without you. Thank you both, dear ladies, and may Almighty God richly bless you and your loved ones.
