Snow forest

“There is nothing in the world more beautiful than the forest clothed to its very hollows in snow. It is the still ecstasy of nature, wherein every spray, every blade of grass, every spire of reed, every intricacy of twig, is clad with radiance.”

  1. Actually, what would be more beautiful than this is the same exact forest scene except that now a dark-haired woman clad in a heavy red or black wool hooded cloak is walking slowly and silently through the snow clothed forest, listening and gazing intently at all around her, absorbed in it all, at peace with God.

  2. I love pretending I'm lying on the ground and looking up at that in person...it feels very sheltered-and cold!

  3. Today, this is what it looks like where I live. Lots of snow still falling.

  4. Though this is not an actual photograph of the trees in my backyard, it looks just like they do. The snow is not budging, nor is the cold. It is beautiful, but my heart is waiting for Spring. Thank you both for your very nice comments. I like your idea, Oddyoddyo13, though the ground is quite cold just now. A heavy woolen cloak would surely help, though. May Almighty God bless you and your dear ones.
