All we are asked to bear we can bear. That is a law of the spiritual life. The only hindrance to the working of this law, as of all benign laws, is fear.

    Thank you for your very nice comments as always, Robert and Hannah. It is love that we lack when we are afraid--the love for Love(who is God)--for, as He told us, perfect love casts out fear. The source for the courage of the martyrs is Love; and it is the source of all courage. May He grant us the grace to bear all things well for love of Him.
