  2. Happiness comes from a child-like nature not an intellectual one. You can intellectualize a lot of things, but happiness is not one of them. If you think my statement is wrong and the quoted one above is correct, I hope someone will express a view on it.

  3. Thank you both very much for your fine comments. Hannah, Saint Thomas Aquinas states that God, the Angels, and human beings possess an intellectual nature; he also says that God is simple. It is that simplicity which we admire as a child-like quality, though it is not reserved to children. I hope this helps to explain the quote. May God bless you and Our Lady protect you.
