He who is filled with true confidence in God clings, in the presence of all things that by themselves justly arouse his anxiety, to the supreme reality and the omnipotent love and mercy of God.
--Dietrich von Hildebrand in Transformation in Christ
You know what builds my confidence in God? The Psalms. I find that if I read some each and every day, that little by little the Words seep into the deepest recesses of my soul. Then when I feel anxious or troubled, the Words enter my mind and my heart and I have confidence in our ever-present Lord.
Thank you for your kind and inspiring words, Robert and Hannah. As you may have noticed, I've been away for a while, but I have returned as of this morning. May God bless you and Our Lady protect you and your dear ones.
Clings, good word for this, clings, like a child clings to her father rescuing her from the flood or the fire.
