Friend

"The friend within the man is that part of him which belongs to you and opens to you a door which never, perhaps, is opened to another."
--Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Wisdom of the Sands, translated by Stuart Gilbert

  1. I don't know what to make of this. It is true of course. Also, one longs to open one's heart to one's dearest friend and it is sad when one cannot do so for some reason or another. It is also sad when one's dearest will not open her heart, but rather closes it up. That is our situation now. Pray for us in your kindness, my fellow followers of the trail...

  4. In many cases, we need a helping hand, especially, when we are blinded by pain or sorrow. A friend can open a door for us.
Moreover, only for a very intimate friend, we open the door of ours heart. Thus we can find rest.
Thank God for the friends that He gives us.

To me this is related to the intercession

(sorry, my English is so bad)

  5. I will pray for your intention, Robert, Surely your dear one will open her heart in time, by God's grace. Hannah, your kind words are like balm to a wounded soul. And cclaridad, your English is just right and your words are beautiful. May Almighty God richly bless you all. I pray that each of us never forgets that we are not alone in this journey.
