Nothing

"A man would do nothing if he waited until he could do it so well that no one could find fault."
--Blessed John Henry Newman

  1. In the picture, the woman looks more like she is day-dreaming. Doing nothing? I don't think so. Out of mankind's day-dreams come inventions and future improvements to ways of living. For me, it is nearly impossible to do nothing. Does any one see this quote in a different light?

  2. Perfectionism is paralyzing.
Only God is perfect, but humans can look for excellence

  3. Very true. We have to remember that that little dream of perfection doesn't exist...in fact, life is much more perfect with it's little imperfections.

  4. Well, finally I do see this quote in a different light. It is about perfection. I'm so glad that you have such clever followers. Until they commented, this escaped me!

  5. You are absolutely right, Hannah. I have some of the cleverest and best followers anyone could hope to find. Thank you all for your very fine comments! Since we can only do good with the help of God's grace, we must always ask Him for that help; but we must never, for fear of failing, hesitate to do what He gives us to do. He has told us that He has overcome the world. If God be for us, who can be against us? We must be of good cheer, for we have every reason to be confident of God's love for us: and that is everything. May Almighty God bless you all.
