Meditation for the Feast of All Saints

Jesus Christ alone is singly to be loved; for He alone is found faithful above all friends. For His sake, and in Him, let enemies as well as friends be dear to thee; and for all these you must pray to Him, that all may know and love Him.

  1. I have come to think more and more that a Christian can only have "perceived" enemies, for indeed we must love everyone in Christ. I think only in the end, when someone has been judged worthy of hell can one speak of him as an enemy, and love is inaccessible to him. And yet, perhaps, we can even love the condemned and be sorrowful for their having lost their greatest good and happiness. God bless you, Kindred Spirit. Robert
